FLOWSOFLY
“I draw life and love in lines.”
FLOWSOFLY [flow-so-fly] is the pen name of a contemporary Austrian artist, living and working in Vienna. Starting in 2015 with an anonymous Instagram account, FLOWSOFLY has since become a leading figure in line art, with solo exhibitions reaching from Vienna, to California and Peru. A global community of over 300,000 fans follow the artist online, thousands of whom wear the art under their skin. FLOWS’s lines vary from intricate and fragile, to bold, raw and wild, capturing humans in intimate scenes.
“I feel that there’s enough self-promotion on social media so I decided to show my art and work, not my persona. Moreover, anonymity can make my art more relatable because viewers use their own imagination instead of trying to interpret the art through my eyes and life.”
With COLORFLOW, we invite you to reflect, fantasize and read between the lines at Keine Galerie.
FLOWSOFLY, renowned for delving into human nature and intimacy through black-and-white lines, now embarks on a new artistic journey. For the first time, the artist has embraced color, undergoing a creative metamorphosis inspired by the arrival of spring.
FLOW’s latest series, 'COLORFLOW', bursts with vibrant hues and fresh energy, inviting viewers to connect and daydream their way into a summer mood.
“While I work mostly in black and white, spring always inspires color in life and art for me. I feel a creative photosynthesis with the arrival of spring’s sunrays and warmer days. So I let spring pollinate my artwork with color.” -

JAPAN SERIES 2023
Paradise is a series of 32 paper collages from the artist’s stay at PARADISE AIR artist-in-residency program in Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, in April 2023.
The series works as a visual diary of everyday impressions between Matsudo and Tokyo, linked by the Joban train line.
Details of buildings, the relation between light and shade, combined with bright colours portray a feeling of the peaceful but also busy life of everyday Japan.
